Born: August 22, 1880
Died: April 25, 1944
Comic Strip: Krazy Kat and many others
Dates: 1913 - 1944
Characters:

Krazy Kat, Ignatz Mouse, Offissa Bull Pupp, and a host of other inhabitants of Coconino.
Synopsis: An interesting triangle: Ignatz Mouse's goal in life is hitting Krazy Kat with a brick. Krazy Kat sees all this attention as a display of affection and is in love with Ignatz. Offissa Pupp does his best to keep Krazy Kat safe from Ignatz's bricks.

For thirty-one years, the Kat and her tireless tormentor, Ignatz Mouse, counted among their fans some of the leading writers, artists, composers, and intellectuals of the time. Krazy Kat, starring one of the first of the cartoon cats, has risen from its humble beginnings to be considered a work of art that transcends its comic-page origins.
